Graphic Design Intern

The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for the design and creation of all advertisements and publications for the LGBTQ CRC. As such, this position plays an important role in the branding and overall image of the LGBTQ CRC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create print and digital graphics including flyers, posters, brochures, program booklets, website banners and announcements formatted for platforms such as email newsletters and social media such as Instagram
- Serving as a member of the Marketing and Communications team, work collaboratively with the Social Media Engagement Intern to maintain the Center’s brand guidelines and ensure consistent branding across all marketing and communication materials
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications, Programming, and Outreach teams to enhance and deliver messages from the LGBTQ CRC and its staff to various constituencies in a visually engaging and efficient manner

Manage and respond to work-related information across multiple platforms: Outlook, Office 365, Slack, Asana, Box, Google Suite;
-
Manage the front desk, greet visitors, and support operations;
-
Provide support for LGBTQ Campus Resource Center’s signature programs and events; and

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:

Understanding of the issues related to the LGBTQ+ communities, in particular students who are QTBIPOC, first-generation, low-income, undocumented, international, and students living with disabilities in higher education;

Must have knowledge and proficiency using design software including Canva and Adobe programs such as Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator, Express and Acrobat

Office Operations Intern

The Office Operations Intern serves as a representative of the LGBTQ CRC, provides administrative support, and facilitates effective connections for community members to appropriate resources and services. The Office Operations Intern is also responsible for tasks that maintain the daily functioning of the Center. In addition to clerical duties, the Office Operations Intern assists in training, motivating, and guiding the LGBTQ Resource interns and volunteers. They serve as a model for the development of good work habits such as punctuality, dependability, cooperation, honesty, and efficiency. The Office Operations Intern reports directly to the Administrative Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist the Administrative Coordinator with inventory and organizing office purchases (when on-site);
-
Assist the Administrative Coordinator with the supervision of LGBTQ CRC volunteers;
-
Maintain inventory and organization of resources and office supplies;
-
Perform administrative duties including answering phones and checking general email;
-
Manage and respond to work-related information across multiple platforms: Outlook, Office 365, Slack, Asana, Box, Google Suite;
-
Attend mandatory weekly in-person all staff meetings and weekly meetings with supervisor;
-
Greet visitors, give tours, answer visitor’s questions, and refer them to appropriate resources (when on-site);

Represent the LGBTQ CRC at tabling events/resource fairs (virtually and when on site);

Staff the front desk when necessary (when on-site);

Provide support for LGBTQ Campus Resource Center’s signature programs and events; and

The Office Operations Intern must be available to work 10-15 hours per week, primarily during LGBTQ Campus Resource Center business hours (though occasional evening and weekend responsibilities may be required).

Outreach Intern

The Outreach Intern is responsible for connecting the larger UCLA community to the LGBTQ Campus Resource Center. Responsibilities include scheduling tabling opportunities for the Center across various parts of campus, developing education and outreach materials, ensuring accessibility of materials, and coordinating a team of student outreach volunteers. The Outreach Intern reports to the Administrative Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities:

Organize and implement tabling, presenting, and other outreach opportunities in different areas across UCLA’s campus;
-
Present on LGBTQ CRC resources and services to student panels and events, such as Bruin Day;
-
Coordinate a group of graduate and undergraduate students volunteering their time for the Outreach Committee;
-
Attend weekly meetings to coordinate Outreach plans with the Outreach supervisor, and also with the full student staff;
-
Communicate with and recruit community partners to LGBTQ Center events throughout the year;
-
Represent LGBTQ Center at community partners’ events and programs to provide information about the Center and resources;
-
Conduct virtual Instagram Lives sharing resources and highlighting identities;
-
Organize student panels with volunteers to share LGBTQ student experiences;
-
Synthesize and develop outreach materials and presentations including informational handouts for specific identity communities and specific communities across campus (i.e. LGBTQ South Campus students, QTBIPOC Students, QT Transfer Students, etc.);
-
Ensure accessibility of LGBTQ Center materials across campus;
-
Complete, submit, and maintain files of paperwork associated with outreach planning, implementation, and evaluation in a timely manner;
-
Market LGBTQ Center events across campus;
-
Provide support for the LGBTQ Center’s signature programs and events; and
-
Attend signature programs and events if schedule allows;
-
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, sensitivity, and understanding of diverse lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender people in the campus community (including but not limited to Black, Indigenous, Communities of Color, immigration status, and varying socioeconomic backgrounds);

Programming Assistant Intern

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Programming Assistant Intern is responsible for assisting with LGBTQ CRC programs and events. Responsibilities can include support with processing paperwork, independently coordinating events, and co-presenting with the Program Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist the Program Coordinator with conceptualizing and implementing at least 3 LGBTQ-centered events per quarter;

Draft program proposals;

Assist in developing funding proposals;

Respond to work-related information across multiple platforms: email, Asana, Slack, and Box during work shifts;

Manage and maintain files associated with program planning, implementation, and evaluation in a timely manner;

Collaborate with the LGBTQ CRC Marketing and Communications team on marketing plans for events and programs;
-
Partner with the LGBTQ CRC QTBIPOC Program Assistant Intern on planning QTBIPOC-focused programs;
-
Support the front desk, greet visitors, and assist with day-to-day office operations;

Attend mandatory weekly in-person all staff meetings (Mondays from 4-5pm) and weekly check-ins with direct supervisor;

Provide support for the LGBTQ Center’s signature programs and events; and

Other duties as assigned.

QTBIPOC Program Assistant Intern

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, People of Color (QTBIPOC) Program Assistant Intern is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, outreach, co-facilitation, and assessment of the weekly QTBIPOC discussion space each academic quarter. The QTBIPOC Program Assistant Intern is also responsible for assisting with QTBIPOC-centered programs and events hosted by the LGBTQ CRC.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist the Program Coordinator with conceptualizing, implementing, and assessing the weekly QTBIPOC discussion space weekly series;

Independently or co-facilitate multiple recurring QTBIPOC dialogue program sessions per quarter (fall, winter, spring), including hosting dialogues in potential collaboration with other campus partners;

Social Media Engagement Intern

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Social Media Engagement Intern is responsible for using social media accounts to advertise the Center's programs and events, post educational materials and resources, highlight the LGBTQ+ campus community, and monitor all digital communications.
Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, promote the Center's programs and events through social media postings and print flyers;

Create and publish content for the Center’s social media platforms including event announcements, photos and video reels, designing flyers for CRC events, CRC public statements, awareness campaigns, and other relevant promotions;

Grow and manage the Center Instagram and social media presence in order to ensure maximum digital visibility, which consists of engaging with comments, messages, and other institutional accounts within guidance and in alignment with the goals of the Center;

Graduate Programming Intern

UCLA’s LGBTQ Campus Resource Center is seeking a Graduate Programming Intern for the 2025 fall quarter. The Graduate Programming Intern (GI) is responsible for overseeing programming and events that target the intersectional identities of UCLA LGBTQ+ students earning graduate and professional degrees. With the support of the Director, the GI develops, implements, and assesses programming, which can include events, coffee hours, happy hours, workshops, drop-in workspaces, forums, etc. The Graduate Programming Intern will have the latitude to tailor programming that is intersectional and relevant to their professional development. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with a positive attitude who brings a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and coordinate events.
Job Responsibilities:

Oversee the execution of graduate and professional student programming planning, promotion, logistics, and assessment (2-3 events per quarter);

Liaison with other graduate / professional student-serving offices, LGBTQ+/diversity-focused graduate student organizations, and campus partners;

Facilitate at least 2-3 signature graduate/professional student events per quarter: one happy hour, one coffee hour event, and a periodic co-working space.

Support the general assessment efforts for the Center’s initiatives including support with data management, surveys, analytics, and reports;

Attend a one-hour mandatory weekly staff meeting (Mondays from 4-5pm);
-
Attend a weekly meeting with the Director for project updates and ongoing support;
-
Manage and respond to project-related information across multiple platforms: Outlook, Office 365, Slack, Asana, Box, Google Suite;
-
Perform support tasks such as attending programs, developing materials, and managing the front desk in the LGBTQ CRC;
-
Manage and maintain files associated with program planning, implementation, and evaluation in a timely manner;
-
Provide support for LGBTQ Campus Resource Center’s signature programs and events;
-
Ability to work through June 2026 preferred, with the option to be rehired for the following 2026-2027 academic year after performance review; and
-
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:

Enrolled graduate/professional student at UCLA (any program is eligible);
-
Availability to work 10-15 hours per week, primarily during the LGBTQ CRC business hours;

Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve;
-
Experience coordinating events and programs;
-
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
-
Excellent written/verbal communication skills;

Knowledge and understanding of the lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual and aromantic community (including but not limited to Black, Indigenous, people of color, immigration status, and varying socioeconomic backgrounds);

Familiarity/interest in wide diversity of peers in graduate/professional programs across disciplines, areas of campus, year, and type of program;

Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion;

A commitment to integrity, responsibility, leadership; and
-
The ability to accept and apply constructive feedback.
Preferred Job Qualifications:

Knowledge of intersectionality theory, gender studies, racial and ethnic studies, student development, etc.;

Previous experience working with underrepresented populations;

One year of leadership, experience coordinating programs or events;

Ability to independently plan, facilitate, and host campus, community, and digital events;

Demonstrated experience, skillsets, and commitment to welcoming social community, student retention, and inclusive success through programming/community organizing; and
-
Previous experience interning, volunteering, frequenting, or attending programming put on by the Center.
Compensation & Benefits:

The Graduate Programming Intern (GI) Intern appointment runs from Fall 2025–Spring 2026, excluding academic holidays. The Program Assistant Intern must be available to work 10-15 hours per week, primarily during LGBTQ Campus Resource Center business hours (though occasional evening and weekend responsibilities may be required).

Salary: $18.50 per hour.

10-15 hours per week. *Per university policy, UC students may not be employed for more than 50% FTE, during an academic quarter, in any single or combination of University titles, academic and/or staff, including University Extension unless authorized by the Dean of the student’s school or College. If multiple job appointments exceed 20 hours per week, graduate students must receive required authorization prior to any offer or start of employment.*
