On-Campus Case Management
Students’ personal situations may negatively impact their well-being or academic life. In these situations, Case Managers are available to receive reports of concern and determine an appropriate response to assist the student and identify next steps in receiving support.
Non-clinical Case Management at the LGBTQ CRC
The LGBTQ Campus Resource Center offers non-clinical case management services for students to meet with an in-house case manager as a resource for getting connected to resources across campus to support their holistic journey at UCLA, both in and outside of the classroom.
UCLA Case Management Services
Students can also connect with a Case Manager outside of the LGBTQ CRC through Case Management Services.
The Case Managers can assist enrolled students with the following:
- Academic support including notifying professors regarding missed classes, dropping a class, withdrawal, etc.
- Referrals to campus and community resources
- UCLA Emergency housing and/or exploring housing options pending UCLA Housing availability.
- Consultation for the university community regarding students in distress
Case Managers are available to consult with or provide training for campus community members who would like to better support students of concern. Please note that Case Managers must abide by FERPA laws, which means they are a private and non-confidential resource.
To refer a student to a Case Manager, you can do so by calling (310) 825-7291 or complete the Refer a Student form.
Please keep in mind that the Case Managers do not maintain 24 hour access to email or phone. For more information about Case Management Services, please visit their Consultation and Response page.
