Arlene is the Special Projects Intern at the LGBTQ CRC, primarily focusing this year on organizing and executing our 25th Anniversary programs. They are also the facilitator of our Queer Fandom Fanatics weekly lounge space. They are a 4th year Sociology major with a minor in LGBTQ Studies and have worked at the center for all four of their years at UCLA. Outside of the CRC, they are part of Prism, UCLA’s LGBTQ+ Christian student organization, and work as a Student Manager for TFT’s James Bridges Theater. They are also a GLAAD Campus Ambassador, working with the non-profit to uplift and advocate for their fellow students. Arlene’s primary field of interest is in media representation of Queer and Trans experiences. Their post-grad plan is to go on to complete a Student Affairs Master’s program.
